Littoraria angulifera (Lamarck, 1822)

Description: Broad conical shape and a relatively thin shell. Color is variable and can be yellowish-white, orange-yellow, or grayish brown with dark brown axially arranged splotches. Sculpture consists of numerous spiral threads and somewhat irregular diagonal growth ridges. Aperture is broad and oval.
Size: 20-30 mm.
Ecology: Sheltered and brackish water mangrove swamps, above high-tide mark.
Geological range: Late Pliocene-Recent (4-0 million years ago).
